Dreamy rainy wedding at Domaine des Halles

Dear Future Husband and Wife,

We are so excietd about sahring with you this amazing wedding at Domaine des halles!

At Momento Mio, we are thrilled to share our latest feature on the prestigious international wedding blog, WedLuxe.

We had the pleasure of meeting Élise and Maxence in June, one year before their big day, and we instantly felt a connection. Although we are based in Paris, we love traveling across France to uncover stunning venues and collaborate with talented vendors.

Initially, we explored venues on the French Riviera, but we eventually found the perfect spot closer to home for the couple—a stunning château near Lyon, the Domaine des Halles. It was truly the one! Planning this wedding was an absolute joy thanks to the couple's kindness and trust.

The Wedding Vision: Beauty and Fun

The couple envisioned an elegant, beautiful wedding that also offered a memorable experience for their guests, full of fun and entertainment.

To bring their dream to life, we worked with AS Luxury to design a custom, modern arch for the ceremony, all while keeping a timeless white theme.

For the reception, their 200 guests were hosted in a single space—a custom-built crystal tent that seamlessly blended the dinner and dancefloor areas, creating a unified, magical atmosphere.

Music was another central focus to create a dynamic ambiance throughout the day. From a gospel choir at the ceremony to violinists during the cocktail hour, and later a mix of musicians, singers, pianists, and dancers, the energy carried on well into the night.

The evening concluded with unforgettable touches: a traditional champagne tower, the wedding cake, a spectacular fireworks display, and an exciting after-party.

A Fun (and Rainy) Wedding Memory

One of the unique challenges of this wedding was deciding whether to set up the ceremony indoors or outdoors. Since the installation required two days, we recommended the indoor option due to potential weather risks.

On the wedding day, it was cloudy but dry—until the ceremony began. Just as the bride was about to make her grand entrance, the rain poured down! While the guests moved to safety, the groom stayed in place with an umbrella, determined not to leave.

This moment, despite the weather, became a beautiful memory of the day—a testament to love and resilience.
